Beach weddings provide a breath-taking backdrop you won't find in any indoor setting.  Siesta Key Beach is rated one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with its powder white sand and gentle rippling waves.  The spectacular sunsets on our coast are a compliment to your wedding photographs.  To avoid crowds, we suggest the north end of Siesta Key Beach.  For even more privacy, consider sections of the Gulf of Mexico on Longboat Key.  Whitney Beach, which is on the north side of Longboat Key, provides a very charming setting.  If you book a hotel along the coast, you can use the private section of the beach that is reserved for residents, and the hotel for your reception. 

A new idea that has recently gained popularity in the Sarasota and Bradenton area is Mixon Fruit Farms.  Mixon Fruit Farms offers a beautiful gazebo surrounded by a pond and waterfall for a romantic ceremony you will love.  There is a large pavilion for your ceremony and large individual dressing rooms for the bride and groom.  Flowers, garden paths and a butterfly garden complete the scene.

If you are looking for a waterside wedding, consider Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota Hotel and Marina or Bayside Banquet Hall.   In addition to the location on the Sarasota Bay, these locations offer either a scenic pavilion, gazebo or yachts docking nearby.   For a beautiful waterfall, fluttering butterflies and a romantic bridge, think about the Sarasota Garden Club.  All  of these venues offer facilities for your reception.  In addition, Powel Crosley Mansion, Phlilipi Creek Mansion and Riverhouse Banquet Facility are also locations with a waterfront view.
